Tassie Forest Film night in Auckland
Forest Film Night.
Wednesday 7th Oct, 6.30pm, Te Karanga Gallery, 208 Karangahape Rd, Auckland.
This Film Night is aimed at raising awareness about the old growth forest fight against the wood chipping of Tasmania's ancient ecosystems.
Forest Blockade films will be shown of the iconic Upper Florentine, Styx and Weld valleys in Southern Tasmania featuring Non-violent Direct Action against old growth logging, community events and actions halting mass destruction in pristine wilderness by the grassroots global community activist group Still Wild Still Threatened.
There will be a bar selling beer and wine ($5), coffee, tea and soft drinks. Stalls held by
Still Wild Still Threatened and Climate Camp New Zealand will help to educate and inform
about the local and global issues surrounding deforestation, climate change and sustainability
on our planet today.
Entry is by Gold coin donation and all proceeds go toward the continuing battle against old growth logging in Tasmania.
